1. What ages can participate in Nashua Cougars Cheer?
Our cheer program is open to athletes ages 5-14 with teams divided by age and skill level to ensure a fun and safe learning environment.

2. Do I need prior cheerleading experience to join?
No experience is required! We welcome beginners as well as returning cheerleaders. Our coaches teach everything from basic motions and jumps to stunts and routines.

3. When does the cheer season start and end?
Our fall season typically runs late July- mid-November. Our Winter season typically runs January-April; depending on competitions and events.

4. What is the time commitment?
Cheerleaders usually practice twice a week and once during the weekend. They also  cheer at all Nashua Cougars football home games. Additional practices may be scheduled before competitions or special performances.​

5. What should my cheerleader bring to practice?
Athletes should wear athletic clothing, sneakers, and bring plenty of water. Jewelry should be removed, and hair should be pulled back.

6. Are there fundraising or volunteer opportunities?
Yes! Fundraising helps keep our program affordable and builds community spirit. We also welcome parent volunteers to support events, games, and team activities.

7. Who coaches the teams?
All Nashua Cougars coaches are trained, certified, and passionate about developing confident, skilled athletes in a positive, team-focused environment. All of our head coaches are listed on our coaches page!

You can register online through our cheer page or contact us directly for assistance. Spots fill quickly, so early registration is encouraged!
